Preparation, not representation
There is a hard line in this work and we stay on the right side of it. A document preparer takes the information you provide and puts it onto the correct form, completely and in the right format. An attorney decides which form your situation requires, interprets how the law applies to you, and represents you. We do the first. When a question belongs to the second category, we say so directly rather than guessing — an incorrect answer in this area can cost far more than a consultation would have.
Where filings actually fail
Agencies and courts reject filings for procedural reasons far more often than substantive ones. Using a superseded edition of a form. Leaving a field blank where the instructions require N/A. An unsigned page buried in the middle of a packet. The wrong filing fee, or the right fee paid the wrong way. A supporting document in another language with no certified translation attached. Every one of those sends the package back and restarts the clock — which is the entire reason careful preparation is worth paying for.

No, and this is an important distinction. We are document preparers, not attorneys. We type and file the forms you direct us to prepare. We do not choose which forms your situation calls for, interpret how the law applies to you, or advise on strategy — doing so would be the unauthorized practice of law. When a question crosses that line, we'll tell you plainly and point you toward a licensed attorney.
In our experience the causes are rarely dramatic. Agencies commonly reject filings over an outdated form edition, a blank field that should read "N/A", an unsigned page, an incorrect fee, or a missing translation for a foreign-language document. Those are exactly the failure points careful preparation is meant to eliminate.
It's manageable, but plan for it. Foreign-language documents submitted to U.S. agencies and courts generally need a full English translation accompanied by a translator's certification. We handle both the preparation and the certified translation in-house, which avoids the delay of coordinating two vendors.
Either way. Some clients want a complete, review-ready package to submit themselves; others want us to handle the submission and the fee. We'll confirm which you prefer up front and give you copies of everything for your records.
